Let me ask you a question..
How many of you can recite at least one verse of scripture?

How many of you own a Bible?

How many bibles do you have in your home?

If you are like me, the answers to those questions go something like this: Some, but not enough, yes, and including our Bible Apps, somewhere in the range of 8-10ish. Now I want you to imagine not only not owning a Bible, not only not having scripture memorized, and not even having enough scripture to know Jesus...

I want you to imagine a world of having NEVER even heard ONE verse of scripture.

Unfortunately this is the world that millions of people all over the world are living in, and

I am NOT ok with that!

There are more people without a single verse of Scripture in their language than the entire population of the U.S.

Seriously think about it for a second, how different would your life be?

There are people who are making a difference, and you can help! Last May, I had the pleasure of hearing and hanging out with some of the awesome girls from the Christian D.I.V.A.S.. During that time of testimony and worship, they also shared about an amazing program called OneVerse.

I listened to the information given, watched the very powerful video presented, and while I knew it to be a great cause, I also knew at that time I financially couldn't do anything to help. Fast forward a few months and I was SO blessed to be able to attend The Relevant Conference. I can't express to y'all what this conference meant to me. It was at the conference that I was reacquainted with the OneVerse program, and this time I am not letting go.

It was also at that conference that the One Verse Bloggers program was born, and I am so happy to be a part of it! For those who would like to watch, here is the powerful video of the Gamo People of Southern Ethiopia being introduced to Jesus.

Today, nearly one-third of the world's language groups representing 340 million people are still waiting for God’s Word in a language that they can understand clearly.

OneVerse is a program of The Seed Company that enables you to support local Bible translators as they make God’s message available in the language of their people.

There are many ways for you to help!

1.  Become a monthly giving partner for $26/ month.  Your sponsorship gift of $26 provides the resources required for national translators to translate one verse of Scripture into their own language. Through OneVerse, you join a team of prayer and financial partners to make this possible.

2.  Give a Onetime gift.

3.  Give a verse translation as a gift!  Someone's birthday, wedding, baby shower, etc coming up?  What better way to celebrate their special occasion than to give the gift of a verse translation.  Your $26 gift will cover the cost to translate one verse for a people group without God’s Word in their language. Just visualize the hope and new possibilities for them as they begin their journey of discovering God’s Truth! At the same time, imagine how you will surprise and bless your friend or loved one with this unique gift in their honor.

4.  Want to help sponsor a verse, but can't swing the full $26 right now?  I have created a widget for those of us.  Every time we hit the $26 mark, I will send it in to OneVerse.  When I receive the verse that we translate, I will share it with all of you on the blog!  I am really excited about this one.

Seriously y'all, I challenge you!  What if my readers committed to donating only $2 per month?

I know that many of us are squeezing the wallet pretty tight right now, but think about it...$2 per month is .50 per week...most of us can find that in our couch cushions!

It would only take 13 of my readers to make that commitment to translate one verse a month!!

There is no limit to the impact we can make.

Will you join me?
