I just informed Neil that we have some SERIOUS work to do teaching Bubba B about Star Wars! My husband has been a BIG fan for quite some time, however the kids haven't really watched it yet...I just had this conversation with Bubba B...

(Bubba B walks into my room pointing a toothbrush holder at me, and using his super hero voice)

BB: I'm Mr. Star Wars!

Me: Mr. Star Wars huh?

BB:  Yep, and this is my dad...umm... *whispers*  Mommy...What's the fellows name in the suit?

Me: you mean the one in black?

BB: Yep

Me: Darth Vader

BB: *back to using his super hero voice*  And this is my dad...Darth Vader...He fights crime, but sometimes he fights me...

Me:  *Trying my best not to laugh*  Ok then

That's when I promptly walked into the kitchen to inform my husband of the work lying ahead!  LOL

My first official Homeschool Post...

Well here it is!!  My first official homeschool post!!  This is our first year homeschooling our kids  :)  Princess K attended K-3 and K-4 at a local christian school, and even though we liked the school, homeschooling is something that we have been wanting to do for years!  Thankfully the stars aligned and I was able to quit my job in March to stay at home with the kids.  That decision in itself has been a testament that God knows what he is doing!  Since I quit in March, My grandmothers health declined, and I have stayed with her many days...thankfully after 2 surgeries she is doing better, also there was the fact that Bubba B broke his femur in August...it has been a rough few months to say the least...I have been SO grateful to be staying home and have the opportunity to homeschool!  We are certainly no pros at it yet!  Before Bubba B's accident I was getting ready to order their curriculum packages from Sonlight.  I had been reading reviews for months, attended their webinar, and had decided they were the company I wanted to go with...WELL after he broke his leg, I had visions of medical bills dancing through my head, and knew that my dream of Sonlight curriculum was out the window....that spun me into a frenzy of researching different curricula, trying to piece together workbooks and curricula for different subjects...Although we are about a month into our school year, I still need to get a few things, and have thought about switching to a boxed curriculum after all... Advice and feedback would be greatly appreciated!! 

I have thought about using this for Bubba B...
